Important Tips To Apply Online With KB Toys

KB Toys actually merged its properties and rights with Toys R Us, so finding application with them is difficult, to say the least. It might actually be one of the most difficult entry-level jobs to find oneself in, to say the least.

That’s not to say that it’s impossible to find a job working at a toy store, of course. Toys R Us is expanding and finding itself in the process of hiring more entry-level workers, managers, and corporate positions to cover its growth. In addition, these new locations need more warehouse staff and distribution centers as well, so finding employment with Toys R Us is significantly easier than getting a job with KB Toys. Which doesn’t exist anymore, you see? Luckily, there are plenty of other retailers that exist to fill the vaccum.

Most Common Positions At KB Toys & Income Information

While KB Toys isn’t hiring any new entry-level or supervisory positions, other retail places certainly are. In most retail locations, the most common entry-level position is that of sales associate. The most common management position is generally some sort of Shift Leader, Assistant Manager, or Team Leader.

Sales associate jobs feel about the same no matter where you go. You’ll be asked to move boxes of merchandise, shift products, and help the customers that come into your store. When the customer knows exactly what they want, your job is easy and doesn’t take very long. You’re mostly asked to help the customer find what they’re looking for, ring them up, and continue on your way. When your customer has no idea what they’re looking for, you’re asked to apply your hopefully outstanding interpersonal skills to translate what they need from what they’re telling you they think they need, find it for them, convince them it’s what they’re looking for, and move on.

Shift Leaders, Assistant Managers, and Team Leaders are the ones who make the schedules, direct and delegate tasks, and ensure that everything’s getting done like it’s supposed to. It’s a thankless, long job, but the benefits are pretty good and besides, you get a salary.

KB Toys is currently not paying its employees anything, because it has been merged with Toys R Us. Toys R Us, however, pays its employees minimum wage, which is set by the federal government at $7.25 per hour.
